Kate Middleton and Prince William miss Harry’s visit after family quit skiing | royal | News

In 2016, the family shared official photos of them playing in the snow wearing ski gear.

Kate and William have taken several ski trips together when they were dating, having first met at the University of St Andrews after they were first spotted on a couple’s holiday in Switzerland in 2004.

Two years later, they kissed publicly for the first time on the runways.

In 2012, William took Kate for a romantic getaway to a luxury chalet in Verbier after spending six weeks apart while flying an RAF helicopter in the Falklands.

At the time, a source told the Mirror it was an attempt by the Duke to ‘reconcile’ with his wife after they were separated.

They said: “William missed Kate terribly when he was away. They spent Valentine’s Day apart and he has been considering for some time how to reconcile with his wife.

“He wants a reunion in the most romantic way possible.

“They had an amazing time skiing, and William decided a getaway to Switzerland, where they could wear goggles and hats and go unnoticed, would be perfect.

They spent a few days in the town of Berkshire, during which they had “cleansing” meetings with the Queen and Prince Charles.

They were spotted by flabbergasted tourists who were in the area for the annual Holy Sunday church service at St. George’s Chapel.

Senior royal sources told the Mirror that the meetings were “incredibly warm and good-humoured”, with another adding that they were “cordial”.

The Sussexes told the Queen they intended to return so the monarch could spend time with her great-grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
